Immoral Study is another of those lovely adult anime games. Unlike other games however, it is much more based on seduction, and there's only one situation for the entire game. In Immoral Study, you play the role of a travelling teacher. However, this is only a front. For the most part, you just seduce the young ladies that you tutor. And that's what you're attempting to do at a nice cushy mansion that you've come to today. It's a plausible story, albiet a bit twisted. You might not be comfortable seducing an eighteen year old girl; then again, you probably are if you're playing an adult anime game... The gameplay is rather traditional. You're given a mouse pointer, which you use to get through the game. You do this by clicking when choices are presented throughout the game. Prepare to read lots and lots and lots of dialouge. However, unlike other anime games, you're with the same girl over the course of the entire game. The game is still the same length as others (thirty to forty-five minutes), however, since all your progress goes towards one girl, it's a lot slower-paced. This is good if you like extremely detailed descriptions, but since the story takes place over one afternoon, there's no carry over affect. The other bad thing about the gameplay is that it's probably the most linear anime game I've ever played. There is absolutely NO deviation from the plot the game gives you. There's only one ending. Multiple choices are given in text boxes, however, only one of them will advance the story. If you don't pick this option, then the game just lets you try to pick it again. As a result, the challenge factor of the game is an absolute zero. Immoral Study does shine graphically though. It features the same digitalized look present in Fatal Relations. The graphics look like a huge step up from the normal JPEG and GIF formats. As an added plus, there's also some animation in the game, so characters move. However, it's not used as much as it should. The music in the game is cheaply made, adult anime music, which is in a category all of its own. Think of late 80's computer games music, and you have the soundtrack for pretty much any adult anime game. Music is purely an afterthought. Immoral Study is unique from other games out there; however, it's far too drawn out and slow moving to be near the top of a genre. If some more variety had been thrown into this game, then it could have been a contender. Alas, there isn't much variety, and despite the outstanding graphics, Immoral Study sinks to the bottom of a fairly crowded genre.
