WebSite Checker v1.0

WebSite Checker is a small utility that allows you to monitor multiple websites.

You can use the file WebSiteChecke.exe.config (in the same folder as the program) to preset the values that the program will use when it starts up.

The value CheckRequestTimeOutSeconds is the number of seconds that the program will wait for a response before reporting it as a failed request.

The value FailedRecoverTimeoutMinutes is the number of minutes that the program will continue to check for recovery of the remote site following a failure.

If the site does not recover within this period, the program will stop checking the site.

WebSiteMonitor provides a compact view of the status of one or more sites being monitored by WebSiteChecker, using the .status files that it creates.

You must edit the WebSiteMonitor.exe.config file to specify the path to the folder containing the log and status files (this can be a local drive, a mapped drive or a UNC path such as "myserverclogfiles"). You can also change the interval between refreshes of the display.

WebSiteMonitor is also a single executable file (.exe) that you just copy into a folder on your machine and run.

However, you must also copy the WebSiteMonitor.exe.config file to the same folder. You can create shortcuts to the program as described above.
